New Nikon DSLR April 14?

Update April 7: Spy shots has emerged, apparently showing a D40/60 type body with an articulated display - which indicates video capability in my guess.
According to the Danish site Zoom Nikon has announced a press conference April 14. The site speculates that the replacement of Nikon D40 will be introduced. The D40 is the best selling DSLR from Nikon ever, and production halted a few weeks ago, according to the site.

  1. The D40 was the best selling because it was the best bang for the buck. It had a great sensor - all it needs is the processing and LCD from a more modern camera (e.g. D90) to bring it up to date. Six megapixels is plenty for the target buyer.

  2. Ken,
    I agree completly.
